Longwall Committee Meeting

For the past few months I have been gathering together with a small group of voters from Leef Township to discuss the effects of longwall mining. Our next upcoming meeting will be on April 6th at 7 p.m. at the township building in Marine. Seating is limited but everyone is welcome.
Since we all lead very busy lives I have developed this committee with the hopes that a small group of individuals can meet and then help spread the word to others. I know it is hard to attend for many of you and with the nice weather quickly approaching it may become even more difficult. Longwall committee meeting

Last night a group of residents from Bond, Clinton and Madison County met in Leef Township to discuss the effects of longwall mining. We had a great turnout and we were able to discuss quite a few aspects. I hope to have a monthly meeting to discuss how to help residents with longwall issues.
